There are some things that you need to remember when you are washing by hand. One of it is to wash your hands thoroughly and sanitize your hand as it may carry bacteria. Also, make sure the temperature of the water is neither too hot nor too cold. It ruins the clothes otherwise.

Wash it separately
Sort out your baby’s clothes before you wash it and you need to remember as a new mother, that you cannot mix your clothes with that of the baby’s. This is because your clothes might carry bacteria which are harmful for the baby. Also, their cotton nappies have to be washed separately and before doing that it always to soak it in warm water for about 30 minutes for any stains to be removed or for the bacteria to be killed.
